Meet the Doctors

  • Dr.
    James Ford III
    D.C.

I started the Ford Chiropractic Clinic in Stevens Point on January 1, 1987, in order to provide Central Wisconsin with the best possible chiropractic care resulting in optimum health. I use numerous Chiropractic techniques, physical therapy, as well as a multi-disciplinary approach working with other health care providers.  We look forward to not only providing you with care for acute conditions, but also providing preventative and maintenance treatment to help provide a long, healthy lifestyle.  I am a member in good standing with the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association.  I also chair and am a committee member of numerous peer review committees for WPS, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Security Health Care.  I have been appointed by the Governor and am actively involved in the Chiropractic Mentor Program in the State of Wisconsin.  My wife, Kim and I have four children.  I have enjoyed coaching youth athletics in the area, and currently enjoy spending my free time fishing, hunting, and restoring antique vehicles.

    EDUCATION

    • Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, IA,  1984
    • UW-Stevens Point, Pre-Chiropractic, 1981
    • Stevens Point Area Senior High School, 1979

As a practicing Doctor of Chiropractic Physician entering my 37th year of practice, my main goals in dealing with patient health care has been first and foremost to listen, analyze, test, and examine the patient to bring about his/her optimum return to health.  Keeping in mind my patients' health, I try to involve them with rehabilitative exercise, consultation on diet, and educating them on proper body mechanics in leading to a healthier lifestyle and correction of their present spinal-related problems.

I look forward to meeting with new patients to assist them in attaining their health care goals as well as continuing to provide my current patients with optimum care.

  • Dr.
    Chris Komasa
    D.C.

I joined the staff at Ford Chiropractic Clinic in 1995, and since that time, I have enjoyed providing quality health care to area residents.  Prior to joining the Ford Chiropractic Clinic, I originally began my career in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and subsequently Seminole, Florida, before moving back to my hometown of Stevens Point.  I operated my own office in the area for several years before accepting Dr. Ford's invitation to join him here.

I am a 1981 Stevens Point Area Senior High graduate and spent several years working on my undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point before enrolling at the Northwestern College of Chiropractic.  I received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern in 1989 following completion of my internship in Florida.

I utilize multiple Chiropractic adjusting techniques as well as numerous therapy modalities in order to provide the best care possible for each individual's needs.

Outside of work, I enjoy golfing and am an avid NASCAR fan, attending several races per year.  I enjoy Badger sports, the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and follow our own local high school and university athletic teams as well.

I will continue to provide the best Chiropractic care for my patients and look forward to providing that same quality of care for you.

  • Dr.
    Chad Conley
    D.C.

I first became interested in Chiropractic care when I was a Deputy Sheriff with the Dane County Sheriff's Office.  At first, I saw a Chiropractor for low back and neck pain due to job-related duties.  I felt great after each treatment and soon realized that the chiropractic adjustments were also helping me in other areas of my life.  Having suffered from chronic allergy symptoms since childhood, for which I took monthly injections, I began feeling relief from my allergies with each treatment, eventually eliminating all allergy related medications.  Not only that, my workouts improved, I had more energy, slept better, no headaches, and seemed to have more focus!

After five years with the Sheriff's Office, I decided I needed another challenge in life and decided to join my brother at Chiropractic College.  I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, the birthplace of the Chiropractic profession; graduating in 2004.

I believe each person is unique and should be treated according to their individual needs.  Some patients choose to come in for quick, effective pain relief, while others choose to maximize their health and come in on a more frequent basis.  That is why I love practicing at Ford Chiropractic Clinic, with our wealth of experience and our diversity in different Chiropractic and Therapeutic techniques we will work to find a health solution for you!

My wife, Nancy, and I have four children and love being a part of the Stevens Point community.  I look forward to meeting you and being your Chiropractor!
